Was a good week for $MTW (cranes), up 10% this week. @mascarosergi recently pitched the stock in his written Q&A style Skull Sessions. Their increasing emphasis on service revenue is interesting, something a lot of construction type companies have been doing over the past few years. It’s the “magic formula” for construction companies, which can result in a huge expansion of historical valuation ratios. You’ve seen that in stocks like $STRL and $BDT.TO. The cool thing about this kind of set up is that a lot of investors won’t believe there will be a valuation re-rate in a cyclical industry, until it’s actually happened… then they’ll say it’s overvalued🤷 Watching closely. Irony to me at this point is that 1.) "frontier" LLMs will need to stay on the spend cycle to maintain frontier status but 2.) at the same time everything behind the frontier will get commoditized - and that will be like 99% of the applications. 3.) $META has a big advantage on consumer agentic bc they can scale it via their consumer app monopolies 4.) Here's where everyone might disagree but $SNAP actually is a more strategic asset thus.
