Terms of service

Bullpen.News is published by Dorsey Research, LLC. These terms cover the site, its RSS feed and the daily recap email. Reading the site means you accept them. If you don't, stop using it.

Who can use the site

Anyone 13 or older. Reading needs no account and costs nothing. If you are under 13, don't use the site and don't send us your email address.

This is not investment advice

Everything here is commentary. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We are not your broker or your adviser, and reading us does not make us one. What you do with your money is your decision, and a licensed professional is the person to ask about it.

We don't check whether the writers we link to hold positions in the companies they cover, and we don't verify their disclosures. Assume they may own what they write about.

What you'll find here

We follow a roster of newsletters, blogs, channels and accounts, and publish a small number of their pieces each day. For each one we show the headline, the writer, the date, a two or three sentence summary written by an AI model, and tags. A person reviews each item before it goes up. The link goes to the original publisher; the writing belongs to them, not to us. A short post from X is the exception, where the post's own words stand in place of a summary.

Clicking a story takes you to someone else's site. It has its own terms and its own way of handling your data, and we control neither.

Some story pictures are drawn by an AI model when a publication supplies none.

Summaries, tags and labels can be wrong. They are a way to decide what to open, not a substitute for reading the piece. Ticker labels, company names and dates are our best reading of the source and are not checked against any market data feed.

Investor letters

The letters section indexes letters published by investment firms. Almost every link sends you to the firm's own page. When a letter has no page of its own, we serve the copy we hold, so that there is somewhere to send you. If you published a letter and want our copy taken down, ask and we'll remove it.

The daily recap

Give us an email address and you get one email each morning with the previous day's stories. There is no account and no password. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address from our list. We use the address for the recap and nothing else. We don't sell it, rent it or trade it.

What you send us

The submission and feedback forms take a link or a note, and an email address if you choose to leave one. Send only what you have the right to send, and keep other people's private information out of it.

By sending something you let us use it on the site, in the recap and in the feed, at no cost to us. We may publish it, edit it or ignore it, and we don't promise to reply.

Using the site

Read it, link to it, quote it with credit, and subscribe to the feed. What we ask you not to do:

• Don't republish our summaries or pages wholesale.
• Don't scrape the site at a rate that costs us money or slows it down for readers.
• Don't try to break the site, get into the admin area, or work around any limit on it.
• Don't use the site to break the law or to harm anyone.

We can block anyone who does, without warning.

Who owns what

Each writer and publisher owns their own work, and we make no claim on it. The summaries, tags, page design, code, the Bullpen.News name and the logo are ours. Personal use is fine: read a page, print it, send the link to someone. Anything past that, ask first.

Taking something down

If something on the site is yours and you want it gone, write to us. Tell us what it is, where on the site it appears, who you are, how to reach you, and what makes it yours. We'll take it down or tell you why we haven't.

What we collect

Bullpen.News counts its own visits and clicks and uses no third-party analytics, cookies or consent banner. For each visit or click it records the page, the time, the country and region the request came from and its time zone, whether the browser is a phone or a desktop and its family, the operating-system family, the site that linked to us if the browser tells us, any campaign tag on the link you followed, and which of a page's filters you set. It never stores your address, your browser's full identity, your city or anything more precise. The only identifier is a salted digest of your address and browser that changes every day, so nothing ties one day's reading to the next.

Those rows are kept for a year, after which only daily totals remain. Rows we identify as crawlers are kept for a month.

An email address is the one thing you can hand us that names you. A recap address is kept until you unsubscribe. An address left on the submission or feedback form is kept with what you sent, so we can write back. Ask us to delete either and we will.

Other companies run parts of the site and handle this data in the course of it: Vercel hosts the site, Neon hosts the database, and Brevo delivers the mail. Summaries and pictures are generated by AI models reached through Vercel's AI Gateway.

The site comes as it is

We publish the site without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be available, or that anything on it is accurate, complete or current, and we can change, pause or shut down any part of it at any time.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, Dorsey Research, LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from anything you read on it, including trading and investment losses, losses caused by an error in a summary, and anything that happens on a site we link to. Some states don't allow limits like this, in which case this section applies to you only as far as it is allowed.

Changes

We can change these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes with them. Using the site after that means you accept the new version.

The law that applies

Florida law governs these terms, and any dispute over them belongs in the state or federal courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest of them still stand.
