My issue with the JPM $APTV downgrade is the valuation framework. The report itself acknowledges RemainCo has a higher-margin software/interconnect mix and growing non-auto exposure, then continues to frame valuation primarily through a traditional auto-supplier relative-value lens. The entire point of the spin was to change the business mix. Why shouldn’t the valuation framework change with it?
