@orrdavid I don't own $WEN but I do see a powerful upside potential. Perhaps I am biased as it has been my favorite burger fast food restaurant for 35+ years (the only one my parents let us go to when I was a kid😂).
Bought a bunch of $CMCSA on this fade back to around $25. While it will take around a year to breakup the business (and they don’t plan to buyback stock during this time), separating media/theme parks from cable should be very accretive to the valuation.
Sector action is bizarre today --- travel/discretionary (ex amazon (who posted very lousy prime sales) are surging), housing and adjacent like furniture ($w $wsm), biotech adjacent bid ($rgen, $medp) and waste stocks ($wcn). You want to derrick micron, I get it. And I get gas prices lower, market expects to fade out rate cuts that were priced moving forward as Warsh moves to trim mean/new data versus actually being hawkish, and some impact on a name like $hd off the housing bill. But all of these things are at the margin and known leading up to today --- so why target, kbh (on relatively inline to disappointing numbers yesterday) Expedia today versus yesterday? Market moves in very funny ways recently
@waterboystocks DPZ looks interesting, but I have pizza covered with little Pizza Inn $RAVE. 100% franchised, zero debt, cash ~25% of market cap, potential for turnaround to transform into growth story next 1-2 years.
I call this the "LLOK" trade (Lower Leg of the K). This is a really interesting non-consensus thematic opportunity, dare I call it contrarian (if you're old enough to remember when that was a preferred approach to alpha generation). Investors have been quick to dismiss anything resembling a LLOK trade, but look what's happened in the past few weeks: $DLTR, $CASY, $CBRL, $PENN, $PRKS all massively outperforming in the past month. I'll include my beloved $CAKE in this group. Yes, some of that is factor rotation, but employment tailwinds for this consumer set might be better as a result of data center CAPEX/reindustrialization, and the "sell these names on gas prices" trade couldn't be hackneyed analysis. Finally, follow @TiberiusCapital, he's one of the best investors I know.

Today’s filing also accuses Playtech of trade libel, fraud and racketeering, as well as withholding information about its conduct from shareholders despite Playtech CEO Mor Weizer’s active participation in the preparation and dissemination of the defamatory report.
