@POVMexico Tulum Airport was only built in 2024 as an AMLO pet project, minimal market demand. The hippies can go back to flying through Cancun Airport as they should. $asr
@marketplunger1 Probably $ASR or $SPGI. I think reits like $CPT would be a decent shout too. Wild how many of the answers are stock promotions and pumps.
@latamsovereign Mexico has 10x as many American retirees than any other LatAm country. $ASR $PAC $OMAB
@valuedrift $CAAP up 4% but $ASR flat because apparently it is better to own 1 Brazilian airport today than own a dozen Brazilian airports in three months once the M&A deal closes.
@coffeesnob @DELAESPRIELLAE Fun because this is 1. my local airport and 2. an $ASR property.
@elcolombiano More good news for Sureste Airports $ASR and Corporacion America Airports $CAAP. "Medellin has peaked bro" folks in disbelief. https://t.co/d7nDOraQbO
Since multiple people have pinged me this. Cancun is not Tulum. They are 100km apart. The prior socialist government built the Tulum airport in part to screw with us $ASR Cancun concession holders. We want Tulum to fail. Cancun hotel occupancy remains in the mid-50s. https://t.co/4hb7GRGGZO
ASR’s $992 million Motiva acquisition broadens its South American airport network after a 25% YTD decline, while its 8.5% FCF yield and…
@dede_eyesan @shortbus_ace @QuietProsperity $ASR has lower cost of capital than Motiva, and Motiva had too many capital commitments to its CAPEX on other things like the toll roads. Logical transaction for both parties as Motiva didn't have the balance sheet for it, $ASR can pay off the high-interest debt quickly.
Colombia is likely to be extended, especially with Abelardo admin as counterparty. $ASR already in talks to fund Medellin expansion which would lead to new contract. What's wrong with Motiva acquisition? Balance sheet should be levered more, especially when buying at such low multiple. I don't think Cancun has "peaked" quite yet, but it will come at some point probably within 5-10 years. Cabos/PV are decent competition.
@LatamData Medellín will keep taking relative share from Bogota. Underappreciated driver for $asr
@shortbus_ace @akeemcap @QuietProsperity Sheinbaum doesn't leave office until 2030 so that's a reasonable bet, though maybe you get clipped in 2029 once the pre-election hope cycle starts up. Underlying EBITDA will grow 12-15%/year like usual (faster at $ASR with the M&A) so stocks can still work in the interim.
@EdwardR02184224 Posted on the newsletter about $ASR recently. Similar thoughts for $OMAB except Sureste has the catalysts with the new airport packages and improvements in Colombia... https://t.co/ZO0t5ghX40
Sureste Airports’ 20-airport Motiva acquisition and U.S. concessions are set to lift EBITDA, while shares trade at 7x forward EBITDA.
Thank you @irbezek for the phenomenal interview! Some tickers mentioned include $PAC, $OMAB, $ASR, $AGUA, $ALSEA, and $CIB https://t.co/uzLr6Yk1wh
Companies the stories above are also about, besides ASR.
