Wish there were more stories like these, channels the ethos of Henry Ford. Not the wage part and 401k growth as much as it is $COST commitment to this family's health care needs and work schedule to accommodate unfortunate life circumstances. A true virtuous cycle here of being a good corporate citizen and employer, being honest and fair with consumers and being rewarded with strong loyalty and financial success. Makes you want to be a Costco shopper (current) and shareholder (not yet) when you read this:

@sidecarcap Understand this view if you're new, but Smith has been off-course for five years now. I got worried back in fall 2021 when he bought $AMZN at the dead top right after saying for a decade that he'd never buy Amazon because it was low-margin. He sold it in '23 for a 40% loss.

A lot of cross currents in themes/stocks trading contra day to day in the market. But probably not a coincidence the $2B ASR period ended June 30th for $BSX (on the lows) and now you see one of the bigger bounces the stock has experienced throughout this selloff.....maybe it does not stick, but BSX < $45 has been and remains quite compelling
$hood perps announcement today is leverage^3 .......what could go wrong? perhaps some lessons from the bucket shops, and leverage dynamics of the 29' crash should be heeded. Their GoT theatrical announcement today and the $BX Taylor swift Christmas videos are going to age extremely well when the cycle busts
$DVA not sure exactly whats behind the over 100% gain in shares this year, But at current levels near $230 a share the stock is almost 27x next years numbers (including net debt/per share basis). CMS initial rate for next year came in well below expectations at 1.1% (and while it can be moved higher that I still a considerable headwind). DVA still sits as one of the most negatively exposed to GLP1s and that should be a structural headwind that eats at volumes incrementally each year into the future Valuation and performance spread against their other public peer $FMS opened up significantly again (diverged at key points in recent years) -- FMS traded off 6% (after being weak for months) on the CMS announcement last week. DVA maybe because of the Buffett influence on float (high 40s% ownership) has traded very odd in recent years, but tends to ignore all news then violently reprice on earnings.

Bought a bunch of $CMCSA on this fade back to around $25. While it will take around a year to breakup the business (and they don’t plan to buyback stock during this time), separating media/theme parks from cable should be very accretive to the valuation.
