Quickstart

Your first request in two minutes.

1. Make a key

Start a free trial, then make a key on your account page. It's shown once, so put it in an environment variable:

export BULLPEN_KEY=bullpen_…

2. Make a request

Ask for everything on one company. Every request sends the key in the Authorization header.

curl "https://api.bullpen.news/v1/companies/NVDA?limit=3" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $BULLPEN_KEY"
import os, requests

r = requests.get(
    "https://api.bullpen.news/v1/companies/NVDA",
    params={"limit": 3},
    headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['BULLPEN_KEY']}"},
)
r.raise_for_status()
print(r.json()["company"]["name"])
const r = await fetch('https://api.bullpen.news/v1/companies/NVDA?limit=3', {
	headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.BULLPEN_KEY}` }
});
if (!r.ok) throw new Error((await r.json()).detail);
const { company } = await r.json();
console.log(company.name);

3. Read the answer

  • company: its name, sector, market cap and how often we've covered it.
  • stories, xPosts, letters: its newest results, each with a link to the original.
  • tickers: every company the results mention, named once.
  • nextCursors: pass one back as cursor for that list's next page.

Each result has published, the publisher's time, and wentLive, when it went live on Bullpen.News.

Next

  • Limits: 30 calls a minute on Individual, 600 on Corporate, shared with your AI apps.
  • Errors: one shape, a code for each case, and what to do.
  • What's in it: sources, how fresh, how far back.
  • Using the data: what you may do with it.
