If I was @ryancohen at $GME, I would drop the bid for ebay and instead go after Hasbro, Inc. They own Magic the Gathering and if Cohen could get ahold of the MTG IP it would transform the company. Hasbro is only a $12 billion market cap and GameStop has enough capital to do a deal there. Cohen could then dispose of the non-MTG junk and cut costs like crazy. The CEO of Hasbro made $18.6 million in 2025. There is so much bloat you can take out of Hasbro. It is filled with suits that don't own the company and make millions with no risk at the table.

What makes $MNRO even more interesting is that short interest is ~22.5% of shares outstanding and 41% of the float as not only does Icahn have ~32% of shares tied up, but Gabelli (GAMCO) is also involved. This is probably why cost to borrow is so cheap. Shorts are betting on a dividend cut, but completely ignoring the fact that Icahn/Gabelli and others have 40%+ of the shares. Icahn is now flush with cash from the sale of Pep Boys to Mavis. He can either offer similar terms for $MNRO and buy the remaining shares for $25/share and come away with a superior asset vs Pep Boys or he can push for a sale of the entire company at a similar price or even more. Poison pill expires November 6th... going to get interesting. If there ends up being a proxy battle then all of these shares would have to be called back which would significantly increase short borrowing costs....

ADW Capital continues to increase its stake in Compass Diversified $CODI, now already reflecting 14%. It's also good to see insiders buying shares on the open market. We flagged CODI a few weeks ago. ADW is pushing for a liquidation, stating that a wind‑down could unlock over $26 p/s, well above the current price. As a reminder, CODI’s share price collapsed last year on the accounting mess at its sub Lugano, forcing CODI to declare its 2022-24 financials unreliable. Lugano had hidden financing arrangements and misstated sales, inventory, and receivables. The fallout pushed CODI into forbearance, dividend suspension, reduced borrowing capacity, and eventually covenant breaches. The company has already questioned its ability to continue as a going concern; i.e., there is a good chance they'll liquidate.

Just surfacing this one to demonstrate we are not and never were $snap absolutists. We will go long and short and when facts and circumstances change our opinion changes too. And NO - Specs will not be a mass market hit this holiday season. Too expensive and awk form. But here's the bull case from here: 1. FCF/Share is the metric mgmt now focused on. By definition that requires fresh cost and SBC discipline. 16% hc reduction and flat share count already in place. $500mn in opex savings about to flow through. 2. Ads biz stable enough. 9% growth in Q2. Guide implies so decel. But ad checks stable vs Q2. Decent enough. Some progress on ad tech. Only needs 5% growth next year to hit our numbs. 3. Sub biz $1.2B rr, growing 85%. Needs 50% growth next year to hit numbs. 25mn paid subs, still well below penetration threshold of 7-12%. 4. Specs tech is real. 7k+ patents. Real use cases. What's that worth? $META or $MSFT or $AMZN could buy Specs for the patents alone and pay $2B and it would be nothing to them but all the call optionality which could incubate until form factor is mass market. 5. Lets just say Specs is worth $2B to a strategic buyer or partner. That implies $snap 7.5B or $4.5/ share. In this scenario then FCF/share at SNAP goes to over $1/share, easily. So 4.5x FCF on a business still growing revenue mid teens. @evanspiegel Specs are cool. But can't keep spending $500mn a year on them. Bring in a minority investor please and lets make SNAP stock great again. @IrenicCap

Voss Capital has been increasing its position in Euronet Worldwide $EEFT and sending angry letters, pushing the company to review strategic alternatives. Despite almost all fundamentals moving in the right direction, Euronet's share price had a horrible 2025, mostly on (fears of) increasing competition from digital-first rivals such as Wise and Remitly. Voss argues that parts like payment processing and money transfer could be valued more highly on their own. A full sale could deliver even more (100%+ potential), as it will also monetize Euronet's global licenses and cash generation. Also, it is worth noting that Euronet has been (and continues to be) a true share cannibal.

Four Tree Island Advisory wrote a public letter to Willis Lease Finance Corporation $WLFC, pointing out the strong underperformance versus leasing peers FTAI and AER. Their letter points to poor reporting with both buy- and sell-side, governance deficiencies, including excessive compensation and management’s indifference to the underperformance. The Willis family still controls roughly half the company, but they are consistent sellers. That gives them a pretty direct reason to care about where the shares trade.

Brief follow up to the $PGNT dumpster fire: During the 2025 proxy campaign Sham (it's all in the name) stated his slate would work to separate CEO and Chairman roles. After winning they worked to do ... the exact opposite. I'm shocked (sarcasm)! But the board is allowing him to do a creeping takeover, which is considered a breach of fiduciary duties, so they do have that going for them (yes, more sarcasm). From 3/18/2025 press release:
