Software working again? $IGV https://t.co/Qz4bQg7qjI
*SOFTWARE STOCKS FALL AS META SAYS STARTING ENTERPRISE PLATFORM Salesforce -2.5%, Workday -3.1%, Datadog -3.8%, ServiceNow -3.6%, Oracle -3.4%, Microsoft -1%, Palantir -1.7%, HubSpot -3%, Workiva -0.9%, MongoDB -16% Zuck wiping out billions in market cap. $IGV down over 2%
@kurniAsept $CSU universe off -2% on a +3% $IGV today is fantastic.
A concept I've thought about for awhile w/o making any real progress is running quant strategies with expert human judgements as an input. e.g. a human proclaims that $IGV will mostly trade on vibes for the next 2-3 years, so you start running a quant strategy on it that's purpose built for things that trade on vibes
$IGV up 7% today. My short book (which as of the last couple weeks has become reasonably software heavy) is in painnnn. Hate that these things all just trade as a basket now.
$IGV +7% $CSU.to $TOI.v $LMN.V +1% TSX operates on a delay
Not only are $IGV and $SOXX both green today, but $IGV just flipped positive YTD, led higher by $CRM up 20%, and cybersecurity names ripping after $CRWD and $OKTA Software and Semis are friends again https://t.co/pYgkP9Rtsw
$IGV "I think I was wrong about a few things, but one in terms of the speed: the economy just has so much inertia. People keep doing the same things, buying from the same company, wanting to use their tools the same way." https://t.co/YZQpZZU8Qw
I don't want to extrapolate from a single earnings report, but if you own a software stock than didn't trade materially higher as the $IGV bounced 25-30% from mid-April to early June, you might be in trouble. I guess there were signs with $PEGA...
Companies the stories above are also about, besides IGV.
