For $CASY, let's say it grows earnings roughly 6% on average for the next 20 years, then 3% terminally. Maybe its 9% for the next 5 years, but gradually moves toward something like maturity of 3%, average let's say is 6%. What multiple would you currently pay on that earnings stream? Personally, i would pay no more than 25x for this. Add other considerations to the business, maybe you think it will grow faster or longer, adjust your multiple as you prefer.
Keurig Dr Pepper’s U.S. beverage growth and JDE Peet’s acquisition support earnings growth as coffee-cost and tariff pressures ease.

@Maku_Capital It's a long list, some secular dynamics, some specific to $CASY, and competition, lots of it. This is not the right platform for me to lay out my entire short thesis....
@CDInewsletter Nice piece. Absolutely agree on owning ones with strong brands/balance sheets like $HSY over the optically cheaper ones that are dividend cut risks. Also quite remarkable how well $KOF has done, as you mentioned, versus the U.S./Canada peers.

imo the risk is not egg price going lower -- its very low right now, and $VITL gets sells into the premium tier. but the company is exposed to corn/soy. At least the last time I checked it did not hedge. Those have moved up a lot in the past few months, so my best guess is that Vital Farms is getting squeezed rn between low egg prices and high input costs. long term, that could clear the deck of weak competitors. Short term, might make for a rough few quarters.
Hershey raised guidance after a Q2 beat as cocoa deflation and improved logistics support margins.
@FishtownCap Could $UNFI and $CHEF merge or too much overlap already
@FishtownCap Are there any decent food brand stocks any more? $MDLZ also seems troubled
The egg market is getting killed and I am tempted to play this cycle bottom. Anyone up to speed on $VITL? This thing is looking so beaten down. https://t.co/wUgfMUorWW
