Terrestrial backup to GPS is essential. $NN https://t.co/sCRxCPCldm
@JonoJohnson8 @cfrischer1 Carr also references Cruz who first sponsored legislation calling for a terrestrial backup to GPS in 2017. As head of the Senate Commerce Committee, Cruz is effectively Carr’s boss. All tea leaves, but hard to think they’re not bullish $NN
@JonoJohnson8 @cfrischer1 Interesting to note that Carr 1st comments on increasing accuracy, and then calls GPS a “related issue”. He clearly makes a distinction between the 2 ideas. Maybe splitting hairs, but there is only 1 company that addresses both points: $NN.
Interesting framing for $NN. $95 is pretty far above my upside case, but agree the $T / FirstNet arrangement is interesting context, despite some obvious differences. https://t.co/b3FsHVkivk
Verizon, T-Mobile and other carriers could move quickly for NextNav’s 900 MHz spectrum, following AT&T’s rapid purchase of 600 MHz licenses.
$NN argues coexistence avoids relocating most Part 15 users because 11 MHz is unwanted and much equipment will reach end of life before deployment.
NextNav says its San Francisco M-LMS network has operated for over a decade without Part 15 interference and that its 5G plan would lower emissions.
@yummyCenturyEgg the "studies" that the opposition have submitted are full of false assumptions and bad data, as demonstrated by $NN. Why would objectors willingly submit bad studies? logical explanation is b/c proper studies show no interference.
@yummyCenturyEgg @MGardnerDA1235 @dylan55917 8/x) add this to the list of common sense and technical arguments that demonstrate how the 900 band is not messy. Assume the $NN bears will ignore this, as they ignored the above points. https://t.co/wqpbmn33X7
NN’s low-band spectrum could gain value as Apple pursues satellite-to-phone service and seeks greater control over its satellite network.
RFID spectrum policy faces a dispute over why U.S. users need 28 MHz when Europe and Japan use 6 MHz and China uses 5 MHz.
NextNav says industry engineering and valuation professionals consider its spectrum clean, rebutting criticism of the asset’s quality.
NN’s spectrum assets are likely valuable, despite a bearish view based on a selective reading of the company’s prospects.
Q2 2025 portfolio update added Meta and six Canadian names, sold eight holdings, and returned 6.6% versus the S&P 500's 10.6%.
Meta’s platform engagement and product pipeline remain strong despite higher capital intensity, framing recent weakness as a buying opportunity.
@retaox The $CHTR broadband offering is much more competitively priced today due to tech upgrades, limited pricing increases in recent years, aggressive retention incentives, and investments into the video/wireless bundle.
Meta is bought around $590 to $600 despite heavy AI capex, on Reels engagement gains, ad-network tailwinds and AI-driven operating efficiencies.
Comcast’s Peacock, NBCU and theme parks are valued near its market cap, while a 6% dividend and a 2027 spin support the cable turnaround thesis.
Charter Communications trades near 2x pro forma 2028 free cash flow per share ahead of its Cox acquisition, with buybacks, swaps, wireless growth and pricing offsetting broadband pressure.
@NickNemo17 I own it in size, yes. Like $WBD a year ago
Angel Studios founder Jeff Harmon discusses ANGX’s crowd-sourced model for financing and distributing family-friendly content with Rick Rubin.
@wallstengine Short form is eating $NFLX alive too
Bought a bunch of $CMCSA on this fade back to around $25. While it will take around a year to breakup the business (and they don’t plan to buyback stock during this time), separating media/theme parks from cable should be very accretive to the valuation.
@satsfilip Fixed — at around $353 per $CHTR share / 23% of company.
