OpenAI’s CFO Sarah Friar also on a media tour spreading the good cheer… bullish $ORCL https://t.co/oymK8c7nVc
Sam Altman sounded a lot more at ease about his revenue ramp and was even bullish about his compute commitments (even saying they may have been too conservative) in this podcast. Given that he has been relatively quiet on the podcast circuit over the past year, I view this as a positive tell on OpenAI/$ORCL. https://t.co/yezInyb9XB

$MSFT print and call is the best thing that could have happened to the AI infra trade at this panic stage. Solid growth across the board with key KPI acceleration (Azure). At the same time, opex to grow slower than revenues, capex $ down due to accounting change (higher useful life estimate) but actual demand for "compute" up a bunch. Still generating FCF on back of accelerating OCF to over 30%+. AI bulls should be thanking $MSFT rn.
$MSFT is showing us how to have your AI cake and eat it too. Zuck should take notes
...."but we might not take the offer bc we have all these reasons to use the compute internally even though we missed ad revs" (basically) $meta https://t.co/ozJ63qcFIL
$PBI is just absolutely killing it: https://t.co/9brXFJjCuh Congrats Kurt!!!
Thanks again to @realsteveeisman for having me on his podcast again. It's always fun chopping it up with Steve. We talked about a lot of things: the ever shifting dynamics of the residential real estate market ($Z/$ZG, $COMP $RKT, $CSGP etc.), structural problems in for-profit education (it's not just AI), and why I'm short $GOOG among other things. You can listen to the episode here! https://t.co/PdhE7ro93h
Majority of EPS growth is in tech. Rest of the market EPS growth is tepid. $QQQ imploding, $RSP ripped. Sustainable?
Well would you look at that. $COLO $EWY https://t.co/fIuPhTl9TI
Oil up 7.5% and $EXPE continues its squeeze because it's simply the opposite end of the ai trade? How long can these on/off trades define every stock in the market? Crazy
Friendly reminder that $MRK is well positioned and well incentivized to purchase $LQDA. Yutrepia fits very well with Merck's respiratory portfolio. https://t.co/JAdLguTw7D
@GullCoveCapital Like all other opposition pieces, this article assumes "facts" not in evidence. The reality is joint testing is needed. $NN has been pushing for this for 2 years, but the opposition has resisted. Why is that? IMHO the key part of the article is below: https://t.co/LFpFs7ebCu
Shelly $SLYG has now confirmed that they are in preliminary discussions with Schneider Electric regarding a potential tender offer for the shares of the Company There is no certainty that these discussions will result in an offer being made, nor as to the terms or timing of such. https://t.co/Nsgvo1MHDh https://t.co/W2TejaVCCk

Like $GLW, I wish margins/ROIC were higher and capital intensity were lower at $AMKR. Yet, with the stock now back around $46 (largely flat YTD and cut in half from its highs), the Amkor setup now seems pretty good over the next 3-4 years due to their scale, new capacity investments, and the increasing importance of advanced packaging capabilities.
Bloom Energy posted $1.065 billion in Q2 revenue, up 165.5%, as AI data-center demand lifted margins, operating income and full-year…
Despite my past skepticism, $GLW around its current $125 per share ($110 b cap) actually seems fairly compelling given the company’s scale, leading market position, and multi-year growth ramp.
@calleymeans @SecKennedy Looks like a tailwind for $UNFI
@SowingAlphaSeed Of the US indexes, my personal holdings are now most correlated to $dia. Weird world.
5%+ SSS comps for the core franchise at $CAKE this quarter. The stock was obviously telling everyone about the inflection in trend. I would like to see better comps at North Italia. Flower Child units could grow faster, but it's clear some of the menu changes and technology improvements are yielding better traffic. It's been a long time since they posted a 5%+ comp. SSS + unit growth is a rare breed in consumer land, $CAKE has it. The LLOK trade remains alive and well. @TiberiusCapital
From the $TOI Q4 call: “That’s actually a very important question and something that we continue to try to drive clarity with our investors on, which is the MA rate cycle and sort of pressure that you’ve seen health plans and full risk, medical groups that are getting a percent of premium face is actually a tailwind for TOI.Our top line Medicare Advantage reimbursement is not a percent of total premium. It’s not impacted by risk adjustment. In fact, pressure on the top line for payers generally causes them to reach out more proactively when it comes to seeking opportunities to provide great care for their patients and good access while also driving improvement in utilization. And so from that perspective, that actually helps our growth. So we tend to get lumped into some of those macro issues with payers, but I just want to make it very clear that, that is actually probably a good thing for TOI.”
Who remembers the $CAR squeeze from April? It feels like 3-decades ago. In any case, the stock is trading at $121 AH. If you ever wonder about the market's ability to inflict the most pain, take a gander at that chart over the past year.
