When I read that a PM got a $50 million bonus for joining some pod shop, does anyone know what that means exactly? Like are they front loading some percent of future earnings etc? Or is it more like $50 million + $30 million/year from there so long as they do well? Also, does anyone know if this is all generally taxed as ordinary income? And finally, what options does that PM have for reinvesting his own money. $VOO etf is probably fine, but I'm guessing no active trading of any kind in their personal account?
