The CEO of Beasley Broadcasting $BBGI is seen here wearing a $60,000 Van Cleef necklace in her headshot on the company's website. This is the nepo baby that drove her family's business into the ground and then diluted equity holders to all hell with a nasty equity raise. I think she should sell her high end jewelry collection and start using the funds to pay down the company's debt. Still no word on who the entity was who bought into that deal. They now own 25% of the Class A stock and are past the SEC filing deadline. Could it be members of the family getting a sweetheart deal and really screwing minority shareholders here? Asset sales have been nil. Someone check Caroline's Neiman Marcus credit card transactions! Have more Van Cleef's been acquired in the interim?

$BBGI update: Between the recent equity research report and a hedge fund managers conversation with the director of finance and strategy at $BBGI. It seems as if they will pay off their first lien debt and refinance the PIK notes (things that created the timeline and dilute us to oblivion of timeline failed). Director mentioned this route as everyone knows they are on the clock and won’t be able to get fair prices for the assets. +they won’t go bankrupt and the stock should re rate a turn or two when this happens -the Beasley family can continue their horrible governance and keep a great amount of value trapped that otherwise would have to be realized. I’ll probably buy a bit more

$BBGI diluted 27% (assuming warrants exercised) through that, some asset sales and share sales they generated $19m in cash. It was with an institutional investor. I don’t like getting diluted especially this early. I also don’t like what it implies which is that the liquidity of there assets is not good. There’s a chance this is just evilness by the Beasley family and they are trying to keep the company, the Crown Jewels and fuck shareholders. A more positive read is they think the assets are worth a lot and aren’t being offering competitive prices for them so they chose this instead.
