@sidecarcap This is exactly what I think is happening with $SLM $KSPI and maybe $YB. $KNSL too
@valuedrift Without naming that which should not be named, it is interesting Mexico $EWW is up 1.3% today.
TIM Brazil $TIMS3.BZ / $TIMB will be buying back ~55m shares over the next 18 months. Not a huge buyback (2.3% of s/o), but this one is notable because s/o have been roughly stable since, what, 2014? Also, the stock is down 40% from ATH over the past few months while TIM keeps growing. We saw something very similar in 2024 (the price action, not the buyback), with the shares moving +100% the following year.

Reminder: $KSPI has nothing to do with KOSPI https://t.co/E9XdtsYHS5
Trump is “jawboning” a peace deal. Cut Ukraine’s Starlink access, unfreeze Russian corporate assets, and suddenly everyone has an incentive to come to the table. A peace agreement would be a double catalyst for $KYIV: removal of the war discount and acceleration of underlying growth…
$KYIV https://t.co/bGd6IJ4Xl0
Rothschild out with a great piece on $KYIV. Such a strong fundamental business hampered by an enormous war discount. Any credible peace deal would not only remove the geopolitical overhang but also accelerate the underlying business through lower costs, reduced capex and significantly higher FCF. A double catalyst: multiple expansion (war discount removal) and fundamental acceleration…

Namib Minerals posted H1 adjusted EBITDA of $19.0 million, up 76%, as higher gold prices offset lower production.

And the global half is already moving. $ELMT bought 4.99% of Masan High-Tech Materials for $124.75M on Oct 1, and expects the Vietnamese supplier to stay its key refiner even after Springer comes online. The ~$100M Refining & Trading bucket covers Australia and Spain on top of that. https://t.co/lTme3cYw9M
@valuedrift $CAAP up 4% but $ASR flat because apparently it is better to own 1 Brazilian airport today than own a dozen Brazilian airports in three months once the M&A deal closes.
$MELI - Excellent Brazil outcome. Stock was at a technical bottom of its consolidation wedge. Business results will begin inflecting as the credit portfolio growth slows due to it’s now to size. Very bullish: Economic Backdrop, Business Results forward, and technicals

@elcolombiano More good news for Sureste Airports $ASR and Corporacion America Airports $CAAP. "Medellin has peaked bro" folks in disbelief. https://t.co/d7nDOraQbO
@aurelius28 I think $CIB is worth about $100 so you're hoping for overshoot of fair value if you buy it here. I much prefer its smaller and much less liquid peer $AVAL as the "catch-up" trade.
@JordanBoekel I have skimmed over $FINV, $LX made good money in $YUMC, looked at $PDD. I think management is even more important given regulatory risk and China and that is partly why I like $YB
