# Paging

## limit

How many results a list returns: 1 to 100, or 10 if you leave it out. A `limit` above 100 is refused, never lowered.

## Cursors

When there's more, the answer has a cursor. Pass it back as `cursor`, with the other parameters unchanged, for the next page. When there's no cursor, you've reached the end.

- **One list:** `nextCursor`.
- **Several lists** (`/v1/latest` and `/v1/companies/{ticker}`): `nextCursors.stories`, `nextCursors.xPosts` and `nextCursors.letters`. Pass any one back and only that list's next page comes back.
- **The feed:** `nextCursor` is always there, even on an empty page. Keep polling with the last one you got.

Cursors are opaque strings. Don't build or change one: a changed cursor, or one sent with different filters, gets a `400` (`invalid_cursor`). Feed cursors never expire.
